Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum

30ml -£41.00
50ml-£54.00

Ahhh the Estee Lauder Night Repair Serum is raved about so much. So much so, that five months ago I decided to purchase it. I bought the 30 ml bottle at £41.00.

The serum claims to reduce the appearance of past damage and helps prevent future damage, as well as deliver high levels of hydration.

My skin type is combination to oily.

The verdict? J'ADORE! I am on my second bottle. I can't get enough of the stuff. I have recommended it to so many friends. They love it too!

I am really happy with the results.  I have a lot of redness in my skin and this has even out my complexion. My skin feels nourished and plump and radiant in the mornings. I also find this serum particularly good for spots. As I mentioned earlier I am prone to breakouts (the big cystic ones), and this product just seems to calm them down by the morning.

The consistency of the product is a light, runny, yellowy-brown gel formula and I slather on about six drops, sometimes more if my skin is looking super spotty.

I use it every night before I moisturise. It absorbs into my skin, without leaving a residue. The smell is pretty 'funky' but that disappears on application. I then follow with my  Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral-enriched renewal cream.

I have read a lot of mixed reviews (more good than bad) about this product, the main complaint being that it is not very good for sensitive skin. I have had no problems what so ever. I read that you could maybe get a trial size, so maybe that would be a good idea since it is a bit pricey. I believe that it is worth every penny. Most department store have 10-15% off during the christmas period, so now would be is a good time to purchase it.

My 30 ml bottle has lasted me about five months and  have definitely seen a difference in my complexion.

Has anyone tried the Advanced Night Repair Serum? I would love to know your thoughts.

November Favourites 2012

Hello,

Welcome to my beauty blog.

I thought that I would just begin with my November favourites, even though it is two weeks into December, but we all have to start somewhere, eh?

1. Rimmel’s Lasting Finish by Kate Moss

I have never really been a drugstore kinda girl, but after there being so much hype around this lipstick collection, I decided to give it a go. I bought the lasting finish in number 19, a nude pink.
The lipstick is rich, creamy and not drying in the slightest. It has a slight watermelon smell, (which I have a love/ hate relationship with), but it does last for up to 8hours.

This shade, gives the “my lips but better” look. Worn on its own, it looks really natural. It even makes my non-existent top lip fuller to some extent-not complaining!

I have dark pigmentation around my lips and this covers it up with no problems. If I want a bit more intensity, but still sticking with the ‘au natural’ look, I use a mac lip liner in ‘spice’ to achieve this.

Overall, I highly recommend. Every girl should have this in her handbag. I can’t wait to start trying other colours.

At £5.49 you cannot go wrong.

2. Nails Inc. Baker Street.

Now, I’m not really a nail polish fan. I’m boring. I stick to ‘Orly’s ‘Naughty’ nail polish all year around.

I decided to myself that I need to start branching out.

‘Baker Street’ is a recent buy. It was love at first sight. I adore its vibrancy, especially in these winter months. When it is just so dull outside and everyone has miserable faces on the train, looking down at my nails is somewhat exciting (sad, I know!).

The consistency is quite thin, yet two coats are enough. It becomes even more vibrant with a top coat.

I think that this colour will suit most skin tones.

3. Diorskin Poudre Shimmer all over face power in Amber Diamond

I am a highlighter addict. I love highlighters. I love how they liven up the dullest of skin tones (mine is extremely dull without any make-up).

Dior Amber Diamond does exactly that. It is one of the most talked about shimmer powders. I apply it to the top of my cheek bones, my brow bones and on my cupids bow. It leaves my face looking radiant and dewy. Perfect for winter months.

You can also use this product all over your face, but I wouldn’t recommend it, as I believe it will look a tad ‘disco ball’.

Retailing at £32.00, which is pricey but it will last you a long time.

There you go. My first blog post :)

I thought that I would keep my short, sweet and to the point. I hope you guys like it. More to come soon...
