NARS Audacious Mascara

I bought this without any thought. I had heard about it, but I didn't get around to reading any reviews. I was at the checkout in Space NK and I thought, why not? I need a new mascara anyway!

I have road tested this mascara for a couple of weeks and I am still on the fence. I just can't decide whether I like it. I like the plastic brush, the tapered tip makes it easier to get to the inner and outer, hard to reach lashes. It evenly coats, separates and lengthens the lashes, however the volume is not there. The more layers I add to my lashes, I don't get anymore volume that what I stated with.

On the plus side, however this mascara is really black. It separate the lashes really well. No clumps and no fall out. It is extremely lightweight and long-lasting and I think that it would be more suited to someone who doesn't have length in their lashes. I have naturally long lashes, and need a mascara that gives much more volume.

I will still carry on using this mascara. I am hoping that the more it dries out the better it gets.

The creepy eyes above are my own! I thought that I would show you how it looks on my eyelashes. As you can see I got amazing length, but just needed a little volume.

Have you tried the NARS Audacious mascara? what do you think?

Kevin Aucoin The Celestial Powder - 'Candlelight'

Now if there is one highlighter that I just cannot put down its the Kevin Aucoin 'The Celestial Powder'  in 'Candlelight'.

Candlelight is a buttery, champagne toned highlighter that gives a lovely, natural glow to the cheeks without looking like you have been dipped into a tub full of glitter. The texture is soft, buttery and glides on and blends very smoothly - no patchiness in sight. Dare I say it - you get that 'lit from within' glow (eekk so cringe!).

I feel that Candlelight is the only highlighter that I can wear during the day and the evening, without it ever looking over done. I personally like to wear it in the evening.

The packaging is small and compact, with a small mirror, making it very convenient to slip into your handbag - No crazy patterns that would give me anxiety!

The entire product, from powder to packaging screams elegance!

It is a versatile highlighter and would suit most skin tones, from fair to dark skin shades.

I purchased mine from Space NK

I hope you are all well

Bobby Brown Blush Tawny

Lets talk about blush. Bobby Brown's blush in Tawny 2 is a lovely deep rose/brown, matte blush colour, which leaves the cheeks looking fresh, naturally flushed as well as giving a subtle sculpt to the face (it's all about that cheek bone life!).

It can be worn all year round, however I personally like to wear this blush during the autumn and winter months. The lasting power is really good and after a long day at work, this blusher has some serious staying power. It wears beautifully throughout the day and the matte finish doesn't emphasise my oily skin. The formulation is very pigmented, so I would recommend using only a small amount and build up the colour to which you are comfortable with. Otherwise clown face may occur!

I can see this blush suiting a more yellow/neutral skin tones.

At £19.50, it is a pricey blush, but the longevity outweighs the price. Well, in my eyes it does! :)

LA Girl Pro Conceal HD concealer

There has been so much hype around this concealer that I decided to give it a try!

The LA Girl Pro conceal HD concealer  has a  medium to full finish on the skin. It is well pigmented and blends very well (with fingers or a brush). The finish is very natural and sets to a semi matte finish, thus for me I needed to use a powder to set, otherwise it would have creased. I picked up the shade in medium beige, which is a perfect match.

I had also picked up the orange  correcter to cancel out the blueness under my eyes. The orange corrector is good for those who have really dark pigmented under eyes. I don't have much in the way of dark circles, so I felt that it didn't benefit me.  So there was really no point in me buying it. The pigmentation and texture is the same as the concealer however it drys pretty quickly, so I recommend blending in sections,

All the range comes in a plastic tube with a brush attached, The brush is easy to apply the product, however not very good to blend. The plastic tube makes it travel friendly.

There is a wide selection of colours for all skin tones and at £4.99 a pop you really cannot go wrong,
These really are very good concealers and I highly recommend them. I am definitely going to purchase a few more of the darker shades to use as a bronze and contour as well as the yellow corrector to highlight. Can't wait!

Urban Decay Matte Revolution lipstick in Temper

http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_123932047199?CMP=SSH&tmcampid=28&tmad=c&sku=8052021&ci_src=18615224&ci_sku=8052021&placmp=SSH_2361363232_301400781_18491924181&gclid=CjwKEAjw1MSvBRDj2IyP-o7PygsSJAC_6zod104vJe0MsFI5l4tTY7W1qGQkiwsGH9WsdtRp9aro9hoC5Hzw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Well what can I say, I loved the Urban Decay matte revolution lipstick in '1993' so damn much that I had to pick up another one - this time a little more sexy!

I decided to go for 'Temper', which reminded me of a mix between Mac's 'Lady Danger' and 'So Chaud'.

'Temper' is a matte, red toned lipstick with a hint of blue and orange undertones. It glides on buttery and smooth and lasts around a solid 7 hours, before I saw signs of flaking. You would need to exfoliate and moisturise your lips before you apply this (I didn't, hence the flakes). It is more matte than 1993, yet still comfortable to wear.

I applied mine with a lip brush as I found it difficult to apply straight from the bullet, since the shape of the lipstick didn't seem to mould well onto my lips. Also, as I didn't wear a lip liner I needed a lot more precision in mapping and shaping my lips.

I am after 'Bad Blood' next...

I purchased mine from Debenhams and at £15.50, I think they are worth the price.

Nars Radient Creamy Concealer

'Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer ' has been on shelves for quite a while. I very rarely buy a concealer more than once, because there is always something new to try.

Nars creamy concealer is the only concealing product that I have purchased twice!

It's creamy, long lasting and highlighting all in one swipe. The formulation is thick and pigmented, yet lightweight and can be applied underneath the eyes and on blemishes.

I only have slight blueness in the inner corner of my eyes, so this is perfect for me without a corrector. If you have extreme dark circles, an orange corrector will still need to be applied first to counteract the blue. Nevertheless, I know many people with dark circles and use this concealer on its own.

The concealer remains crease-less throughout the day, however it can begin to crease if too much is applied.

My shade is 'Medium Ginger'. I purchased mine from John Lewis.

Bobby Brown Bronzer

OH EM GEE! this bronzer is life. I have so many bronzers in my make up stash, but this one is doesn't even make it into the drawers. It lays constantly on my dressing table. I just keep coming back to it time and time again.

I have the shade 'Golden Light 1'and it is the perfect bronzer for my skin tone (medium, olive). Bobby really hit the nail with this red/brown blend. The balance is perfect! A lovely, sun kissed glow, without the tangerine look - perfect all year around.   No shimmer, no glitter, no blotchy-ness and DEFINITELY no muddy-ness in sight. Just a matte bronzer. No fuss. PERFECT.

Honestly I cannot recommend this bronzer enough!!

Urban Decay 1993

Yes! I know! Another lipstick. I'm on a bit of a lipstick role, since throwing away a lot of out of date lipstick - I needed to restock. OBVS!

Continuing on with my 90's phase, after hearing so much about Urban Decay's matte revolution lipstick I wanted to give it try.

I picked up the matte revolution lipstick in  '1993' and the 24 hour glide-on lip liner in 'Liar'.

The pigmentation of 1993 is opaque and the consistency is creamy and conditioning, making it easy to apply. The wear time is around 6 hours on my lips and is generally comfortable to wear, although it did feel slightly heavy on my lips.

However, I'm not sure about the other shades, but I feel that 1993 isn't as matte as expected. It looks 'half matte' and half 'satin', yet this doesn't bother me, as long as it is long lasting and not shiny whatsoever!

I paired this lipstick with Urban Decays glide-on lip liner in 'liar', which is a brown toned nude. Again, the texture and consistency is creamy, buttery and easy to apply. It can be worn underneath lipstick or holds enough pigment to be worn on it's own.

This colour would cater towards a medium to dark skin tone.

Overall, its a great lipstick and really bang on trend!
